Reform UK proposes benefit ban for all foreign nationals

Reform UK has announced plans to ban all foreign nationals from claiming benefits in the United Kingdom, according to reports across eight outlets including the BBC, GB News, the Daily Mail, the Sun and the Mirror.

The party says the measure would cut the welfare bill substantially. GB News and the Sun both report the proposed saving, as does the Daily Mail, which notes the party "vows to cut welfare bill" and that "disability cash axed for millions". The BBC confirms the ban "would include EU citizens". The Mirror describes the policy as "cowardly" and warns it "would spark new Brexit clash".
