  CPIH annual inflation rate: 2.8% (2026 MAY) - ONS series D7G7, dataset MM23

  GROUNDS (The Crossbencher build process (self-reported)): This record labels ONS series D7G7 as the CPIH annual inflation rate. D7G7 is the CPI annual rate (ONS's own series listing titles it 'CPI ANNUAL RATE 00: ALL ITEMS 2015=100'). The CPIH annual rate is series L55O, which stood at 3.0% for 2026 MAY, not 2.8%. Evidence: ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationandpriceindices/timeseries/d7g7/mm23 (title) and .../timeseries/l55o/mm23 (CPIH). A superseding record with the correct series has already been ingested; this challenge files the mislabel in the public log.
